NEW BERN KARATE AND FITNESS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
We are now offering day camps for virtual learning for school age children from 7:30 AM - 6 PM Monday - Friday. A tutor will be available to help students with their school work. Students must bring their own virtual learning device (laptop, tablet, phone, etc.) Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided. Boxing, Karate, Dance and other activities will be included during student breaks. Rates are as follows per child:

2 days $55
3 days $85
4 days $110
1 week $130
1 month $480
New Bern Karate & Fitness offers a supervised, structured and fun program for your child. We incorporate goal setting, respect, concentration, focus, character building, integrity and self-discipline into a fun learning environment.
STUDENT TUITION AND FEES
5 days per week - $65/week
3 days per week - $50/week
Note: Please remember that we do not pick up for inclement weather changes (closings and early release due to weather or emergency). We do pick up scheduled early release days. There is no extra charge for early release days. However, holidays, teacher work days and school breaks (Spring Break, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc) will be a $10 extra charge per day.
“Where is your Child” fee - $10.00
New Bern Karate and Fitness must be notified by 1:30 PM that your child will not need to be picked up,otherwise a $10 “where is your child” fee will be charged. It takes valuable time at school to find out if a child has been picked up or if he/she is somewhere in the building, so please let us know if your child is picked up from school early.
Late payment fee - $5
Tuition is due the Friday before the week being paid for. Payments not received by Monday are subject to a late fee of $5.
Late pick up fee - $5
After school care ends at 5:30 PM. If you are unable to pick your child up by then, please let us know in advance, if at all possible. A $5 late fee will be charged for the first 15 minutes, then $1 for each additional minute. Payment for late fees is expected when you pick up your child. Notification in advance could nullify any late fees. Please remember to sign your child out each day and let us know in advance if someone else is coming to pick your child up.
Pickup is provided from Bangert, Trent Park, JT Barber and Oaks Road. Ben D. Quinn students can ride the school bus to New Bern Karate & Fitness. Drop offs are welcome.
Uniforms (GIs) are not required, however if you would like to purchase a customized New Bern Karate & Fitness GI for your child, the cost is $45.
We hereby authorize New Bern Karate & Fitness, LLC and its agents, representatives, staff and volunteers to photograph me or my children and to utilize such photographs in any print media, including the internet for any commercial purpose. We agree that we shall not be entitled to receive any compensation as a result of such use including but not limited to the promotion of New Bern Karate & Fitness, LLC.
Cubbies will be assigned to your child during the first week in attendance. He/she will be asked to keep all of their personal belongings in their assigned cubby except during specified time for homework or free play. It is the responsibility of the child/adult picking him/her up to retrieve their belongings at the end of the day. New Bern Karate & Fitness will not accept responsibility for items left overnight and/or prolonged storage. Please keep this in mind when deciding what to send with your child each day. Any clothing or personal belongings left at the end of the day will be placed in “lost and found.” Any unclaimed items willbe discarded after 5 days. Please do not send any electronics (video games, cell phones, tablets, etc.).
If New Bern Karate & Fitness, LLC experiences repeated inappropriate behavior for any enrolled child, that child will be given verbal warning and instruction on how to correct the behavior. If the student’sbehavior is not corrected promptly, we will call the parent or guardian for assistance. Upon a second disciplinary action requiring a phone call to the parent or guardian, we will REQUIRE the parent or guardian to make arrangements to immediately (within 30 minutes or less) pick up their child for the rest of the day. Students that are a consistent disciplinary problem will be suspended from the program after appropriate warning to the parents. New Bern Karate & Fitness reserves the right to remove any child from the program. This is for the safety and well-being of all students and staff.

4:20 PM – 4:55 PM. Martial Arts Training (Tuesday & Friday), Boxing (Monday & Wednesday), Dodge
Ball/Sensei Says, Tug of War, Laser Tag, Board Games and other fun activities on other days
4:55 PM – 5:15 PM Structured Free play
5:15 PM – 5:30 PM. Pickup
CODE OF CONDUCT
The following is a list of rules for our After School Program. We reserve the right to remove a child without prior notification who in our sole discretion is unable to fit into our program.
Students shall not be permitted to engage in the following conduct:
The use of obscene or profane language, or any acts, gestures, or innuendo directed at any student or staff member;
The use if any derogatory language referring to color, religion, ethnic origin or any aspects of aperson’s character, custom and/or heritage;
An act of dishonesty, deception and/or related behavior;
Failure to follow instructors’ or counselors’ instructions(repeatedly)
Not following safety rules (e.g. unbuckling safety belts, jumping or running in unauthorized areas)
The possession of any narcotic, drug or other controlled substance other than those authorized by
parents and/or doctor;
The possession of any firearm, weapon, or any item that resembles a weapon;
Threatening another student, through intimidation, either verbal or non-verbal;
Destruction of New Bern Karate & Fitness, LLC property, or the property of other students or staff
Touching or physical horseplay, this behavior is strictly prohibited because of the possibility of
injury or physical alterations;
Borrowing or lending money
Any acts that can cause injury to students, facilities, property, staff members, etc.
